Today is my penultimate day in Hawaii. In my ideal world I had podcasts in the can ready to release each Tuesday. However, the interview I had scheduled for tomorrow’s release has been cancelled twice, so now I find my self in a bit of a quandary: record or relax?

Of course I’d like to enjoy the last full day of my trip by doing some sightseeing or perhaps a final trip to the beach. But I still have commitments to my audience to consider. For almost nine years now I’ve posted a new show every Tuesday. To leave it with dead air seems wrong.

The good thing is, I can enjoy Hawaii and get a show out as well. It’s all about arranging my priorities. That’s right, just like in recovery. Priorities keep things moving. Proper priorities keep things moving smoothly. So for now, I will see the grandkids off to school. A little bit later I’ll press record on the show. After all that, there will still be lots of time for the beach. The sun is setting on my family visit, but I will still…
