Extra Seat

Mrs. MoM and I are flying to DC today for a Prison Fellowship conference. Be the thrifty folks we are, we got no frills tickets on Southwest. Boarding Group 8. Steerage. We boarded the plane and found our seats then waited as the last stragglers made their way down the ramp to the plane. I watched the open seat next to me stay open with expectancy. Sure enough, when the door closed, extra seat. I moved from the middle to the window. Score!

In recovery, sometimes good stuff comes if we can wait without acting out. Accept what we get, then celebrate the bonuses.

Well, now we are taxiing to the runway. Time for me to…

—Rise Up!!
