Confused

I have a conference scheduled in the near future. When I booked my original tickets I made a mistake and had to cancel then re-book. My calendar still has both flights listed. When I went to check the flight time I got myself confused because I had two sets of conflicting information. I had to jump through a lot of hoops in order to figure out the correct information. Thankfully I had all of my old email and was able to track it all down, but even when I looked on the booking sight, it didn’t show which was the correct flight. It was rough for my brain!

My recovery is a lot like those flights. Sometimes I get conflicting evidence. Sometimes both things have been right at one point, but only one is correct now. That can really cause my brain to hurt. When my brain hurts I tend to make bad decisions. Bad decisions aren’t good for my recovery. I’m pretty sure you can do the math here.

When things get confusing, I try to take a step back and look at the facts. Good facts, good decisions. Again, the math almost does itself! If you find yourself confused, take a step back and…

–Rise Up!!
