Last night I rode with my friend and her son to go drop off keys to a car that two of her sons share. The older boy was at work and the younger needed to trade keys with him. We all rode down to the restaurant where he works. As one son went inside to meet the other, Mom and I moved the car to another part of the parking lot and hid.

When Dylan came out he knew pretty soon that something was up. He didn’t panic, he just assessed the situation and scanned the lot. As Mom and I were laughing, Dylan found the car and headed over to us.

When you get off track in recovery, it doesn’t have to be the end of the line. We just need to know where our hope lies. When we trust the process and the program, we know that we can get back to solid ground. So if you get lost, take a moment to reassess the situation and then…
