One of the biggest arguments I hear against church is that there are too many hypocrites in church. Here’s the deal: they’re absolutely right! The church is filled with hypocrites, absolutely brimming with them! So is the rest of the world. If you get two people together, both of them will probably be a bit hypocritical in some way.
If I take my car to the garage to get worked on, I expect to see a bunch of other vehicles that are in some state of disrepair. They go there because they’re broken.
People come to the church because they’re broken. If you don’t see broken people, you’re probably looking at a bunch of fakers.
So get yourself into church this week. Smile at a hypocrite. It just might help you to…
