It was a maddening fluttering noise and feeling that wouldn’t seem to stop, regardless of what I did. I changed positions as I sat on the couch watching TV. I went out to the garage and put finishing touches on the paint for some cabinets I am painting for a friend. I even did the unthinkable and went to bed! Nothing seemed to effect it. The idea that seemed to gain favor with every passing minute of my torture was a meat thermometer in the ear! But then I remembered Psalm 121: 2-3 which goes like this:
“I lift my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Now one short prayer later and I’m able to put the thermometer back in the drawer. My ear is back to normal. All I needed to do was lean on God and…
–Rise Up!!
