Baskin-Robbins

I always loved going to Baskin-Robbins as a kid. The promise of 31 flavors from which to choose was magical. The past week has been very Baskin-Robbins.

In the past week I have been back to CR Summit, seen friends that I haven’t seen in about a year, flown toPortland, eaten way too much good food, seen more long lost friends, and watched my youngest daughter graduate from PA School. It’s been a week!

Just like that trip to BR so many years ago, I knew there was bound to be more flavors than I could handle at once. Some of the things that happened were like a banana split, and some were like dropping your cone on the floor. Forrest said that life was a box of chocolates, I prefer ice cream.

There is really no way to know what will come next in my life. For the first 50 years I’ve been doing my best to do things my way. That hasn’t worked out so well. But as I work my 3rd step and I let God have the power in my life, I’m able to see His amazing power.

So as I write this I know that today starts a new week. I don’t know what will happen. I don’t know how I will feel when it is done. But I do know that I will…
