Motivation

As you may (or may not) know, I’ve been trying to get into shape to run a half marathon in September. I started off well, then the holidays came. I was traveling, I was eating, I was lazy…now here we are three weeks after I started training, and I’ve barely done anything.

As it turns out, running is like my recovery: it’s not easy. It takes a lot more work than I thought when I began. Getting out of bed to do it is not as easy as just laying there in the coziness of the blankets. Trying to get the motivation on a daily basis has been tough. That’s why I’ve created a support group for my efforts. I have people who ask me about my progress and hold me more accountable. Just like my recovery, I won’t be able to do this alone. But together we will…

–Rise Up!!
