Bifff

Yesterday I watched the season opening match for Arsenal with a friend. Before you ask, no, Mrs MoM, this is not another blog post about soccer! My friend is a fan of the team we were playing, so we decided to watch together. My friend also has a 13 month old son who was cruising around in a variety of ways throughout the game. He had one of those little strider bikes that has wide set wheels. He loved zooming around and kicking his soccer ball. He also spent some time crawling. He can walk, a bit, but not with great skill, so crawling is his preferred mode of movement. He was good at it too. Dude could really go fast.

It was fun to watch him crawl. He would put his head down and hit the afterburners. On one instance of this I watched him tuck his chin to his chest and come straight at us. With his head down, he didn’t have great vision, so he clipped his elbow on the leg of a chair. that send him face first into the floor. As fast as he seemed, his speed was actually pretty slow. He face was also pretty close to the ground, what with being 13 months old and all. Still, he began to cry. Mommy and Daddy came to his aid and provided some comfort and he quickly calmed down and got back to his business.

When we face-plant, and we will, we need to find our Daddy. God will scoop us up in his loving arms and make things better. He will wipe away the dirt. He will kiss our booboos. He will help us with everything he has. So go ahead and face-plant. God will help you to…
