Sam

Here’s a little fact for you: you can’t spell “Minister of Mocha” without “Sam”. You, I did the math. It’s all true.

I met a guy named Sam this past week. I happened to be wearing my Minister of Mocha apron while I was helping on a friend’s food truck. As I came out to open the window Sam was sitting outside waiting for us to open and he read the apron out loud. It sparked a great conversation about blogs, prison, and Sri Lanka. What a fabulous exchange, and all due to the fact that I was representing out in public.

What is it that we represent? What conversations are we inviting? What questions are for inspiring? Moreover, when people see what we represent, is it more appealing or does it turn them away? An “Eeyore” wearing a shirt that says “Smile” could be seen as ironic, but more often it probably just comes off as fake. Life isn’t always easy, but I’m a fan of looking for the things that spark joy. So as you peruse your wardrobe, make sure you rep what you rep. Now get out there and…

–Rise Up!!

PS: we changed our look for the first time since we launched this thing. Let us know what you think of the new theme.
