I’ve got some Crocs that I wear for game days. They are red and they’ve got a very specific set of Jibbitz on them. One side has a soccer ball and an Arsenal badge, while the other has letters that spell out the word “GOONERS”. I used to have a different soccer ball, but it fell off around Christmas time. I decided to wait until I found myself close to a Crocs store to replace it. Last night I was in just such a place.

We had made a trip to Starbucks to grab drinks for the fam and there was a Crocs store right next door. I almost went in, but decided that I should wait and bring the grandsons so they could get some Jibbitz too. When I got back to the room I looked down and noticed that my Arsenal badge was missing 😱! Bummer.

We retraced steps this morning but found no Jibbit (Jibbitz?). Oh well, I decided to not only get a new soccer ball, but also a few new letters. Now my shoes proudly proclaim “AFC” as well! It wasn’t exactly as I had it planned, but my Serenity Prayer let me accept it as it was. Sometimes I need to change my plan in order to…
