I showed up at the office and found all of the tables full. Not just “my” table, all of the tables were occupied. What gives?!? And it wasn’t any of the typical folks that sometimes keep my seat warm for me, these were a whole cadre of new people sitting where I wanted to be. The nerve!
Life isn’t what we work out on our drawing boards. It gets messy and other people gum up the works. I mean seriously, I had a great plan for today. I got up before my alarm, I got all gussied up in my bow tie and slacks, I was all set to start the layout of the MoM book. I had a plan! But now I’m sitting in a weird seat, facing a totally different (read “wrong”) direction. It could knock me off course or throw me for a loop. I’m choosing to make the best of the situation. As you can tell, the blog is getting written. One of the interlopers would have been talking my ear off if I was sitting where I usually plant my flag. I’m getting a whole new experience this morning. Life is maikai! (I’ll let you look that one up).
So my place is full, but I’ll find my new seat and…
–Rise Up!!
