Mrs. MoM and I have been spending our evenings binge watching old TV shows. We plowed through 11 seasons of Cheers between Thanksgiving and Christmas , then we dove into Modern Family as we dove into 2025. Having never seen even one episode of Modern Family, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As it turns out, we both love it. One of our favorite things is the family dinners at Jay’s every week, which got us to thinking about our own family.

Her oldest son is our oldest grandchild and he graduates form high school this year so we figured it would be nice to start doing regular get togethers with everyone while we still can.
This weekend we had our first one. Pizza and games were our responsibility and drinks and desert were theirs. It was a great night. We laughed and acted silly. We ate til we hurt. It was like Thanksgiving in January. It was a wonderful way to remind ourselves of how much we love each other. And even thjough I ate too much and I didn’t win the card game I typically dominate, I was able to…
