We’ve been staying in a jungle for the past week. It’s gorgeous, especially if you live in a desert. There’s just so much green and living plants! There’s also bugs, which I could do without. The humidity isn’t awesome. But wow, the birds and frogs at night…it’s just fantastic.
Aside from those differences between jungle and desert climates, the main thing that has changed is rain. You may have heard the old song by Toto about the rains in Africa. One thing I know is that you gotta have rain to get a jungle. Some people get bummed by the rain during a vacation to Hawaii, but that’s how it all works. Plants need water. No water, no jungle!
Our lives and our recoveries need to get rain too. If it’s sunshine all day, eventually we will dry out. We need to have all of the things live provides. That’s why God made those things. So sing and dance when it rains. Get off your backside and…
