I made a trip to visit my youngest daughter and her family this weekend. The main purpose of the trip was to help paint their house, but of course seeing three grandkids doesn’t hurt one little bit!
Early on in the trip the baby was sitting on my lap and I felt the reassuring warmth of fluids on my leg. I presumed that the diaper caught it. I was wrong. Later that day the same baby boy was sitting on Papa’s lap when a distinct odor wafted up from his posterior. Yup, another diaper fail! Good thing I was wearing my jeans.
It would be one thing to just give up and say, I’m done with the kids. But that would be ridiculous. I wanted to help paint the house (we finished today which is why this post is so late) but being with these little guys is just too much fun.
Now I’m exhausted and spent, but the work is done. You gotta do what you gotta do to get the job done. You might need to climb a ladder to the top of the second story several times. Doing it might kick your butt. But you know what I’m gonna say next. That ladder just helps you to…
