Sometimes we cry because we are hurting. We get sad. The world comes at us all at once. We suffer a loss. It can be for any number of things. I cried this weekend.

But I wasn’t sad.

What happened was that we went to go see the band Switchfoot. During the show, Jon Foreman brought out his teenage daughter to sing a song with him. She has CP and did not try to hide in shame. She was cool with it. Watching her dad just beam was too much.
