One of the ads in yesterday’s Super Bowl came from “He Gets Us”. It shows a lot of not so pretty people and puts some commentary over it. Some people think it’s great and others feel that it isn’t.

The thing is that a lot of those people look a lot like the folks I spend most of my time with. They aren’t pretty. They aren’t perfect. They have tattoos is odd places.

Caring about people who are different isn’t about being “woke”. If you’re concerned about “woke”, maybe you should turn off the news outlet or web servers who are telling you that there’s a problem with loving people. The fact of the matter is, that the message behind the commercial is not wrong.
