It’s raining in Ridgecrest. I love the rain, because we don’t get much of it, but it does cause problems for some folks. In previous rains we had noticed water stains on our ceiling at my ministry’s building. Living in the desert, we did what a lot of desert rats do and completely ignored it. After all, it probably wouldn’t rain again for months! [I think we call that denial?!?]
This morning I woke up to the sound of rain on my roof so I hauled my lazy self out of bed and drove down to the MuM Building to try and assess the leak. [I think we call that recovery]
The steps aren’t just for big problems like drugs and alcohol, they work throughout my life. I even had to go up the steps of the ladder to get into the attic.
So when you feel rain dripping on your head and you are still inside, don’t just sit there. Get out a ladder and…
–Rise Up!!
