As I am sitting in my “corner office” (aka the table in the corner at my local Starbucks), I found out that Rhino Records has put out a re-issue of the album Tim by the Replacements. As with most of the things that Rhino does, they have remixed the album and included a wide variety of extras. The original 11 track album now boasts 65 tracks.

I write about this today for a couple of reasons. First of all, it’s the Replacements. If you aren’t familiar with them, check them out! Second of all, it’s a good reflection on life. Most of you probably don’t know the Replacements. They never had as much commercial success as they had critical acclaim. How many of us can also put “doesn’t live up to potential” on our resumes?!? Yet Someone has come along and found the gems, polished them up, and offered them to the world.

Jesus does that for us. There are so many things that we are capable of, but people just don’t realize it. Most of us are better than the world thinks we are. We might even be better than we think we are! Don’t settle for the original evaluation on your life. Let God re-issue you in a whole new package that highlights your awesomeness. Go ahead and…
